Lips are the main focase this Fall/Winter season.
The lip of the season is red, ox blood and deep dark purple! Strong, rich and matte!!
My advice use a primer and lip liner and your lips will be ready for fall/winter 2014.

Toronto Fashion Week was in full force last week. With the show called “Canadian Collection” it showcased Canada top & up and coming designers. Although I only attended Melissa Nepton show, I loved her collection of all things white & texture. Here is the look I pulled together for the night.
Sally Hansen’s new formulated Miracle Gel promises at home manicure with no lights yet same results as salon gel polish application and 14 days of beautiful nails.
The 14 days sold me. I have tried gel polish a few times and the results have been great so I was already sold on same concept, less damage.
I purchased the polish and top coat (necessary to have the promised results) and headed to the salon to get a manicure. I have to say the first 12 hours were great. Until I did some house work (while wearing gloves) and it still peeled. Went for a swim and it peeled even more!
I got the manicure on Saturday and by Monday it looked like a disaster (and I was being careful to not let it chip). Determined to give it another try, I gave my self a manicure Monday night and by mid day Tuesday it started to chip again.
Now I know some people wear polishes longer than others, but I was so disappointed in the results due to the fact that I researched it and found feedback praising how good it is.
I would give it a 1 out of 5. The results weren’t as promised. The cost is high ($12 a polish) considering I have lower cost polishes with better results. If you tried it, please let me know & give me tips to extend the wear of my polish.
Almost 3 years since I bought it, I took my wide brim hat out for brunch with my hubby. Although I wore it before for an ODJ it never made another appearance and since its the biggest fall trend, it seems everyone is taking a turn at the hat trend.
I have a few tips to make it more conventional and easy to wear.
1. Wear it with straight hair. I would even recommend it for next day “dirty hair” cover up. I wore mine with my natural curly hair and though it fit great, my hair seemed to keep pushing it off.
2. Keep the outfit simple. I have seen it worn with pretty much anything and to be honest as long as you feel confident wear it, but I feel it’s best paired with a pair of jeans, tee and a biker jacket.
3. Location! Hats are great as an accessory but remember windy days spent outside or a date at the movies might not be suitable.
I have to confess my beauty regiment is none existing at the moment. I make sure to wash my face when I get home after work and always wash my face before bed. And there is always the “I am so exhausted this is quicker” exception when I use face wipes.
So when I was asked to test out Masker Aide masks I was excited.
I did a little company research and was thrilled that they are doing great things for both skin & nature (not tested on animals, all natural products and all organic!) so I choose 3 types of masks from their line of face masks and the results were impressive!

The leaves are changing and the colours are magnificent. Shades of yellow, red & orange, I had to incorporate them into my #odj look. Although this look was what I pulled together for my family Thanksgiving dinner I look forward to styling this midi length with runners and a throw scarf.
