New Year

2013 has been an eventful year with many ups and downs and I have enjoyed every part of it. The universe worked in a mysterious way causing an end to an unhappy environment and it allowed me to grow and expand on my blog and to meet and work with new and current designers from across the globe. I also had the opportunity to travel to a place I have always had on my “bucket list” and make amazing memories.
I’ve had my wonderful Husband who is truly my rock, my amazing family with their endless love and support have been my strength. Thank You to each and every one of you for making 2013 a memorable year and I can’t wait to see what 2014 has in store. Happy New Year!

The Hat

Wilfred hat, Joe Fresh sweater & tights, Moon skirt, ALDO heels, necklace worn as a bracelet, MAC “Ruby Woo” lipstick

I am an “occasion” buyer which means I buy certain items for certain trips, events or functions. With that being said I had bought this wide brim hat for my trip to Vegas 2 years ago. We had a grand canyon trip booked and I thought it was so fitting for it. Now I confess I have not worn it since but it appears that it’s the seasons biggest staple item.
Since I had paired it with a ripped pair of jeans and a leather jacket while in Vegas, I decided to show its versatility and pair it with a knife pleat skirt, sweater & heels.

My Week

Nella Bella

I have been on a hunt for an all vegan leather handbag after a conversation with my sister. She was on the hunt for a handbag that was practical, spacious & could wear as a cross bag and most importantly, vegan. So set to find an all vegan line I came across Canadian brand Nella Bella. Started up by Canadian designer Tarek Al-Azba. The Toronto brand is getting much deserved recognition and sold across Canada. A few weeks ago Nella Bella had their holiday sample sale which my sister and I attended. I had the pleasure of meeting Tarek who was friendly, attentive & made us feel so comfortable along with all the other shoppers. While at the event, we both picked up their “London” bag. A multi-functional bag that you could wear 4 ways. The quality of the vegan Nella Bella is luxurious and the designs are modern and chic. Lastly, being Canadian is always reason enough to check out the collection.

Polka Dots & Stripes

ZARA top, Vintage skirt, Joe Fresh tights, Christian Louboutin heels, MAC “Ruby Woo” lipstick, CrazyandCo necklace & Bedouin necklace from Jerusalem

A few years ago I want through a nylon phase. I would only wear dresses with tights in a variety of pattern. It was winter so I needed the warmth and to add depth to an otherwise bland winter wardrobe. I find my self more drawn to this trend again. The idea is mixing it with other patters and who doesn’t like polka dots & stripes?

Hair Fashion: The Bun

I am guilty of pulling my hair in a bun while at home. Its just a quick and simple way to keep the hair out of way and still attempt to look proper.
So when I was recently asked to do a hair tutorial with a bun sponge I went out purchased one and can’t express how easy it was to use.
So if you are crunched for time and still want to look put together for your holiday parties this season, pull your hair into a “messy bun” & finish off with an embellished headband.
