Winter

FOREVER21 Dress, DANIER biker jacket, ALDO boots, H&M oversized scarf, MAC “Dark Side” lipstick, Ring from Jerusalem

I always feel, even though I grew up with the Canadian winter, that I just can’t get used to it.
For this ODJ photo shoot I bundled up, layered a few pieces and enjoyed the cool breeze. But to be honest, my motivation was focusing on thoughts of my comfy pajamas and a hot cup of coffee… and the blessing that I get to experience the 4 seasons.
I also wanted to share the pictures that Farrah captured and managed to not show how truly cold I was!

Farrah Azam Photography

A photograph has the capability to capture a moment, an emotion and forever hold a memory.
So when I recently started looking for a professional photographer to work with for my site, I was so pleased to have meet Farrah of Azam Photography. We clicked right away. The self trained photographer has such a fantastic eye for colour & angles that its hard to believe that she started this on the love of photography. I am so happy and excited to announce the collaboration with Farrah Azam as the official photographer of Coconut Lace ODJ. We spent the afternoon shooting and talking over lunch and it truly felt like spending time with a girlfriend.

Today’s Talk

I love to talk fashion, trends, makeup and most of all styling.
So when I was given the opportunity to appear on Today’s Talk on Rogers hosted by the 3 beautiful hosts Chandra, Shannon & Lisa, I knew it was an opportunity I couldn’t give up.
It was a wonderful experience where I got to talk about this seasons biggest trend Tartan & showcase 3 looks that I personally styled.
Thank You to Today’s Talk for having me on the show and make sure to tune in on Thursday to see how to wear Tartan & why it’s a trend you should try!

My Week

A dash of Emidesh

There is nothing greater then watching a brand grow and the hard work of a designer come to life and be widely accepted and appreciated.
I had confessed my love for all things Emidesh early on on the site. I have a beautiful collection of pieces that I truly cherish and wear constantly so it’s no surprise that I would take the time to share a few of the NEW and beautiful pieces of her growing designs and introduce you to her new collection of gem stone pieces for Men.
Rooted and handmade in Toronto, Emdiesh designer Najeha Uddin seems to keep us wanting more. Her new collection of hand loom bracelets all personally designed and made by her are a modern and fresh take on the friendship bracelets that have been a fashion staple for the past few seasons. She has also created dainty yet eye-catching new pieces that just give you enough of a statement without being over the top.
To view the entire collection and shop, make sure to check out the Emdiesh site @ Emidesh.com and follow her on Instagram as she takes you into her design world through her camera lens.
